About me

I’m Jodie Wilson, a Lifecycle Marketing Architect based in Jersey City.

I work at the point where customer lifecycle strategy meets the technical and data infrastructure underneath it. I want to understand what a company is selling, what the customer journey actually looks like, what data is being captured along the way, what should be captured, where it lives, and how the organization can use it.

I’m especially useful early, while the lifecycle is still being defined, the data decisions are still being made, and the systems can be designed intentionally. Before anyone has to untangle five platforms and three years of decisions nobody remembers making.

From there, I build: website capture, welcome and nurture programs, behavioral and product triggers, lifecycle campaigns, measurement, identity resolution, segmentation, and increasingly sophisticated personalization as the company grows.

I work across Marketing, Product, Data, Engineering, Sales, Content, Paid, and Social, not because I need to own every function, but because a customer lifecycle rarely stays politely inside one department. I identify what the system needs, connect the right pieces, and bring in the right people.

Most recently, I led lifecycle and Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture across more than 35 brands for Diageo North America. I built the regional customer-data model, migrated more than 22 brands from Klaviyo, and designed reusable lifecycle, behavioral-intelligence, preference, identity, and personalization frameworks capable of reaching millions of consumers.

The platform isn’t the point.

The point is building a foundation that lets the business understand its customers, make better decisions, and create more relevant experiences without rebuilding the machinery every six months.

How I think

I have a habit of turning complicated things into systems I can see, understand, and explain.

That instinct appears in my professional architecture, but it also appears in the rest of my life. I’m mapping the movements and battles of Middle-earth across a six-foot wall, writing a novel with years of chronology and a fully functioning fictional bakery, and revisiting a horror thesis built around patterns, culture, and the stories we tell about fear.

These projects may look unrelated. They aren’t. They all begin with the same question: What is really happening underneath all of this, and how do the pieces connect?

Get in touch

I’m interested in senior lifecycle, CRM, and marketing technology roles, particularly opportunities to build the customer lifecycle and its technical foundation from the beginning.

If you’re building something ambitious and would like Marketing in the customer-data conversation before the architecture hardens around everyone, I’d love to talk.
